Where can I buy an optical drive for my XC-1780

I want to buy an optical DVD/CD drive for my new Aspire XC-178 and find navigating Acer's web site challenging, so need help. I did find it last month but was out of stock.

If I can not find one is is possible to take the optical drive from an old slim line H.P. desktop I still have which has not been used since 2016 as it runs Vista. My present desktop since 2016 is a H.P. with Windows 10, but the optical drive is not very good so would not use it. I would get my son to do the fitting.
