Microsoft is the only one who decides hen to release the update to specific models. You might be able to get someone there to tell you hat's holding it up, but likely they aren't going to give you any real info.

  • Your Acer Predator PO3-650 might not have received the update via Windows Update due to compatibility holds or unresolved issues. Microsoft has again put a compatibility hold on some devices.

If no urgent need, wait for Acer/Microsoft to resolve potential compatibility issues.

Yes, you can use a bootable USB drive to install Windows 11 version 24H2. If you're comfortable troubleshooting potential issues, updating via ISO is an option. Be sure to use the latest Win 11 24H2 ISO and take precautions, as the official update might not have rolled out to your system yet due to compatibility concerns or unresolved issues that you may encounter.

Thanks for the helpful reply - how would I find out if the 24H2 update is held up for my model/config of Acer Predator PC? Agree no urgent need to upgrade and happy to wait for the official Acer/Microsoft release but the lack of information as to if/when this will happen is deafening given we're 5 months since the 24H2 release. Not seen anything to suggest there is a problem with my model of gaming PC, only for certain Acer laptops.

if you still haven't got the 24H2 update, download the Win-11 24H2 standalone .ISO update file that you can execute within windows and then do an update as you have two choices either an update or a clean install. Its a very easy and quick update but also make sure that you install all the windows updates so that your OS build: 26100.3194 which is the last update. good luck.
