Hi everyone,

I’m using an Acer Nitro V16, and I’ve been having an issue where my battery keeps draining even when the laptop is completely shut down. I sent my laptop to Acer’s service center for repair two months ago, but the problem is still happening.

I’ve also noticed that this issue always occurs after a Windows update. Has anyone else experienced this? Any solutions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

A batteries drain on a laptop that is shut down and off is normal, as a normal battery drain when a laptop is off ranges from 1% to 5% per hour.

Variations occur due to the battery’s age, laptop settings, and external factors. For further exploration, consider investigating battery health management tools and optimizing power settings to minimize drain. good luck and hope this helps you out.

My laptop’s battery drops 80% within 12 hours, which seems far beyond the normal drain rate. I just bought this laptop a few months ago, and this issue first occurred two months ago, leading me to send it to the service center for repair. However, after a recent Windows update, the problem has reoccurred, just like what happened 2 months ago.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?
