how to remove a damaged screen from Acer TravelMate Spin P414RN-52

Hi there,

I am trying to resolve a hardare issue on a TravelMate Spin P414RN-52, however one of the screws damaged on the interior so my screwdriver can not grip it and remove it. If anybody has any suggestions on how to remove screws that are damaged I would be highly grateful.

Of first importance is to use the right size and type of screwdriver. One that is too large or too small will not seat well enough to grip the screw, especially when the head is damaged. With the right size you can typically tap it in to get a good fit and remove even a screw with head damage.

You can get small screw extractors in a good DIY/hardware store to remove stripped screws, try the correct screwdriver type/size maybe that will "grip" the stripped screw(s). An alternative is using a small battery-operated drill with a metal mill bit or with left-handed rotation and bit to unscrew.
