After Motherboard replacment,Aspire 7 faces Browser crashes and Discord Issues after warranty repair

Hi, I have an Acer Aspire 7 that worked flawlessly for a year, but then the motherboard failed while it was still under warranty. After the warranty service, browsers (like chrome, edge, steam) and messengers (discord, telegram) started crashing almost constantly. Sometimes I get a message that "something went wrong" with my browser (if I have an internet connection and other devices are working fine), but sometimes the browsers just crash when I want to add a new tab. Discord doesn't work completely. But other programs or games work without problems (some Steam apps I can open through File Explorer). I've reinstalled Windows and all drivers seceral times, made factory reset , but nothing works. Warranty service said that it's problem with soft and already not their problem. Please help

It would help if you stated what Aspire 7 model you have, as it would give us an idea of the components in your laptop. I suggest that you seriously check your Win-11 24H2 installation and if its updates are up to OS build 26100.3037 and its appropriate bios and firmware is updated for your laptop. do that first and let us know, good luck.

It’s possible that the GPU is not faulty, but it’s experiencing issues due to the clock frequency exceeding the boost frequency. This can happen due to a feature called GPU Boost, which is built into the NVIDIA drivers. GPU Boost increases the effective clock speed of the graphics card even beyond the advertised boost frequency, provided that certain conditions are favorable.

If your Acer Aspire 7 laptop keeps crashing while playing games, it could be due to various reasons such as outdated drivers, background programs, overheating, memory issues, or system file errors. Here are some steps you can try:

Update Graphics Drivers: Make sure your graphics drivers are up-to-date.

Disable Background Programs: Close unnecessary programs running in the background.

Prevent Overheating: Ensure your laptop is well-ventilated and not overheating.

Run a Memory Check: Use Windows Memory Diagnostic tool to check for memory problems.

Run System File Checker: Use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files.

Undervolt the GPU: You can try undervolting the GPU again. This process reduces the voltage supplied to the GPU, which can help lower its power consumption and temperature.

Monitor GPU Temperature: Use a tool like MSI Afterburner to monitor the GPU temperature.

    Windows Display Settings:

Right-click on your desktop and select Display settings.

Scroll down to the Graphics section under Related settings.

Click on Change default graphics settings.

Here, you can check if the Optimizations for windowed games option is turned on. If it is, you might want to disable it to prevent any FPS limitations.

    Registry Modification:

Press Win + R to open the Run dialog.

Type regedit and hit Enter to open the Registry Editor.

    Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\System\GameConfigStore.

Double-click on the DWORD named GameDRV_Enabled and set its value to 0.

Similarly, modify the value of GameDRV_FSEBehaviourMode to 0 as well.

    Update Graphics Drivers:

Ensure you have the latest graphics driver installed for your GPU. You can do this by right-clicking on Start, going to Device Manager, expanding Display adapters, and updating the driver.

Keeping your drivers up-to-date can help resolve FPS-related issues.

Remember to restart your system after making any changes. These steps should help you achieve a consistent FPS of 60 in your games.
