As I wrote above, everytime I shut down my laptop and open it after a few hours, it doesn't turn on normally with the power button. I have to hold the power button for 30 sec and reset the whole thing.

This problem has arised recently and I think it has been more than a year after purchase, and the battery is not draining, because, I keep it in check.

Another problem I had with this, from the first day of purchase, was it would restart after going to sleep, YES, everytime I close the lid and open it would restart, this happens manually too, so I removed sleep from closing lid and never use sleep. I thought of this like a windows problem and ignored it. Please help

Hi, update your BIOS with the versions released 3 weeks ago: 1.23 dated 2025/01/14 and in Windows "Check for updates" as there have been recently fixes released for power management (Modern Standby). All the issues you described are power plan related, like the system switching to hibernate mode after sleep mode to preserve battery power. Keeping the battery fully charged and the power adapter connected 24/7 will help, shutting down the laptop completely instead of suspending it will also mitigate the issues. Disable Fast Startup and Hibernate in "Change what closing the lid does" and in "Change settings currently unavailable" is recommended. Check if your laptop supports Modern Standby in Windows11 or "S0 state" with this command: powercfg /a press Enter.

Hello, Thank you for answering, here as you can see, my bios version is already updated to 1.23.
And "Keeping the battery fully charged and the power adapter connected 24/7", Yes, I do plug in most of the time, due to this being a nitro, and the battery drains when not in use too. And I do shut down the laptop, as I cannot put it to sleep or hibernate. And in the "power options", there was no hibernate or fast startup option to begin with, so I used the command "powercfg/hibernate on" and disabled both like you said.

And the "S0 state" isn't support in my laptop😥

Hi, the sleep mode issues are due to your laptop that does not support Windows11 Modern Standby, you will have to live with that. You should disable Acer Care Center as that program is buggy and interferes with Windows Update and Power Plan: Open Services and Stop accSvc and accAgentSvc, right click on these 2 services and in Properties set the Startup type to Disabled, and click on Apply If this concludes your question, please mark this comment "Yes" "Answered".

Yes, surely I have been living with sleep mode problem, and It is not much an issue as I dont put to sleep.
But the main issue here was the laptop not starting when opened after a few hours of shut down. Which has become an issue very recently, I have updated all versions of windows and bios, please suggest anything to repair this, because I have to disconnect power and hold power button 30sec everytime to start the laptop

Try this: turn off the laptop, unplug the charger, and hold the power button for 15 seconds.

Disable Acer Care Center like I wrote above and have it looked at by Acer Services in your country, it may be the power button or power rail issue.

There is a BIOS version 1.24 so you can try it out to see if it solves the issue.

Im partially happy to announce that my laptop has broken down completely, which led me to open this whole thing and checking with the internals, I removed the battery and plugged in again, checked the ram, and finally the CMOS, which was prolly the culprit. I tried turning it on then, but the keyboard was lighting up and screen wasn;t starting at all, and was turning off after a few seconds. I removed the CMOS key for 15 seconds and kept on trying to power it on, both by plugging in/off and after a few seconds, the screen turned on, and now, for now the problem is gone. I;ve tried shutting down a few times, it works fine now @entity0326 hope this helps

    Update…

The problem is still there,. and the only way to turn it on everytime is to remove charging and hold power button for 30sec. But hey, atleast its turning on. Something unusual which Ive noticed is, it takes a very long time to shut down, like more than a min, or a two,..
