USB on W511 Keyboard Dock

Hi,

I've Just purchased a new Windows 8 W511 Tablet. When in the Keyboard dock (supplied With the tablet). The USB port on side of the keyboard dock, does not seem to work at all, I've tried mice, USB memory sticks and mobile phones and nothing appears connected to the tablet.

The Keyboard dock is power and connected to the mains. everything works ok if connected to the tablet via the Mini usb cable and lead, but not when connected to the dock.

Is this a fault, or is there a switch / Function command to enable / Disable the onboard usb port. (it is recoiginsed in devices  manager!).

Thanks

If you plug an optical mouse in, does it light ? Does the USB hub show up in device manager ? If neither ther is probably a wiring fault.

Usb Hub show up in device manager, but no light on the optical mouse. (or on the usb sticks which usually lights up when plugged in).

I have exactly the same issue on a brand new W511.

Have you been able to address you old issue, and if so, how?

Really does not give me a good feeling if a device breaks down the same day you purchased it as it just spells trouble and I now already regret not having purchased the Lenovo tablet rather.

I have exactly the the same issue (!) - dead USB port on dock, looks like it died on the first day.

No light on USB mouse, "USB device not recognized" and stuff. Did you fix it somehow?
