Chromebook Plus 714 - 2 issues. Keyboard seems to not be working properly

Hello All,

There seems to be two separate issues with this device.

I am using this Cbook with Mobile Sheets so I can read my music off it during rehearsals. When I swipe to turn the pages, Chromebook turns, and I can't work out exactly what swipes I am doing to make it happen. If anyone can enlighten me, I would be very grateful.

2. The keyboard seems to not be working properly. It may be that I am being inattentive in my typing, but the cursor seems to jump about a bit and sometime the keyboard doesn't seem to work at all. Again, any suggestions about either what it wrong or what Iam doing wrong would be great.

It always helps if you give us the full model number, so we can tell just which Chromebook you have. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like CB714-xxx-xxxx.

When you say the "Chromebook turns", what is actually happening? Are you using a touchscreen or the touchpad? Are you saying that the music goes from the current page to the next, or previous? If that is happening it is likely a function of the Mobile Sheets app. IIRC with the touchpad you use two fingers to swipe and change pages…

Typically when things are acting jumpy it means there is an app that is using too many resources, so it takes a instant longer to have the pointer or cursor position get a refresh, which makes it seem to jump from one position to another. The same thing can happen with key presses, but less often.
