If that is happening with your AN515-56 its because either the M.2 drive is faulty or the M.2 SSD2 slot is faulty, check the M.2 SSD drive if its showing up in Disk Management or another laptop and also clean the M.2 SSD slot pins and the laptop M.2 slot plug with isopoll alcohol and inspect if the 2nd M.2 plug at the mainboard its pins have not come lose from the board in any way., this can only be done with a microscope, or take a close up video with your phone while moving the SSD2 M.2 plug with your hand and see if it moves in any way. Btw, the 2nd M.2 SSD slot is a PCIe 3 x2 type M.2 slot speed and the SSD1 boot slot is PCIe 3 x4 type speed slot M type drive and its not a Co-lay PCI/SATA type slot and I hope you are not using a SATA 3 M.2 SSD drive. as this drive will not work, as only PCIe 3 M type drives will work with this laptop.

Check the AN515-56 2nd SSD2 slot if its pins have come lose from the mainboard

Its impossible that a functioning M.2 SSD drive and functioning board M.2 slot are not detected in this laptop bios or Disk Management which is another part of the OS that you should look at as this drive is probably showing up in Disk Management and all you need to do is initialize the 2nd M.2 SSD drive and then give it a drive letter like "D", as afterwards it will come up in Windows > File Explorer and bios, so try that as this happened to my AN515-56 also and the 2nd M.2 SSD was showing in Disk Management of windows and after I initialized it and gave it a drive letter it was detected. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
