Having this issue with my laptop whenever the battery drops below 20 or 25 percent the screen starts glitching out and displays purple screen. The issue immediately resolves itself when I plug the power adapter, so the issue only happens in battery mode.

Could this be a gpu or battery issue?

Specs: Acer predator Helios neo 16 i9

14900HX RTX4070

These laptop like a Predator Helios or the Neo models should not be used at 20-25% battery but the screen should not be showing those symptoms even at 20% battery power, I’m using a PHN16-71 with a 165Hz refresher rate screen and this does not happen with my battery or screen.

What could be happening is that the NVidia graphics driver is corrupted, so completely uninstall the NVidia driver with DUU software in safe mode and reinstall a new NVidia driver, see if that fixes this problem, if not then it’s a hardware problem like a faulty eDP cable and its plugs pins or the EC chip or a bios or could be the screen etc etc

What I suggest if your laptop is under Acer warranty, is to send the laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country and get them to fix this issue, as if you allow the warranty to expire and you have any screen issues or mobo issue its going to cost you allot of money to fix this laptop, as the cost could be greater than what a new laptop would cost. Good luck and hope this helps you out to solve this problem.
