Hi all - Hope someone can help.

I had the following M2 SSD in a previous laptop that I have now installed as an additional M2 SSD drive in my ACER Nitro 5 AN515-58.

However this new drive down not appear in Explorer, Disk Management, Disks and Drives, Device Manager, nowhere, not even in the BIOS.

Any idea if this is even compatible with the Nitro or if I have done something wrong?

Thanks all!

If the Samsung 970 EVO Plus PCIe 3cx4 M.2 SSD drive is not showing in Disk Management and bios then its either faulty or your M.2 SSD2 slot in your AN515-58 laptop is faulty or you haven’t inserted the drive properly. Get some Isopoll alcohol and put it onto a swab and clean the slot pins and the drive pins and reinsert the M.2 drive again and see if the drive is recognized.

If not then its either the laptop M.2 slot (insert another M.2 drive to see if the same happens) or the 970 EVO Plus M.2 drive is faulty, as Samsung drives are very reliable and I’m using this same drive in my Nitro AN515-56 as a boot drive and its been performing excellently for years. Or another option is to insert the Samsung 970 EVO Plus into another PC and see if its recognized, as if its not then it’s the M.2 drive. Good luck and hope this give you a few options of how to solve this problem.
