Will Predator Triton PTX17-71 get microcode 0X12B update?

I have a Predator Triton 17X with a I9 13900HX. I see on HWInfo that the VIDs are hitting above 1.5V max when doing work and even when the laptop is idle. It does not look like I the motherboard gives an option to see the actual Vcore voltage. I understand that Intel is stating that the HX cpus are unaffected but as they are the desktop equivalent chip will Acer give a bios update with the new microcode?

I don't know which CPU Microcode version is installed in your Predator Triton PTX17-71, as your latop has had an update of its microcode in bios version 1.04 - Dated: 2023/07/04 - which updated the following: 1. Update CPU micro code 2. Update EC for thermal and power management optimization.

Make sure that you have the last bios versing 1.09 installed and have a look in CPUz > Mainboard if your CPU Microcode is at the latest 0x35 version, as the below CPUz caption is from the 13th Gen cpu's microcode for my Predator Neo PHN16-71 with the i5-13500HX cpu which this model also uses the i9-13900HX cpu that the same bios applies to, which is the same as in your PTX17-71 and would have the CPU Microcode version @ 0x35.

So your laptop should have its microcode up to this latest version 0x35, if its not, then you either have to update the microcode through whatever Intel has a s a microcode update (which is a very risky thing to do and can brick your cpu) or wait until Acer updates the bios to this new cpu microcode version. Good luck and hope this explains it to you all and helps you out.

    Are there any new information?

My Triton 17X has also only Revision 11D.

I have the latest BIOS 1.09 from Product Support - PTX17-71 | Acer United States

Your Predator PTX17-71 last bios update version 1,09 has not updated the i9-13900HX cpu microcode, its the bios version 1.04 that did that on the 2023/07/04 to that revision 11D, so that must be a fix for the Intel cpu Instability issues.

Intel have different revisions and they don't explain which revision does what, except that Intel has announced the "0x12B" microcode as the final mitigation for the instability issues affecting its 14th & 13th Gen CPUs. Intel has finally offered a new statement regarding the 14th & 13th Gen CPU Instability issues & stated that will be a relief for users running these chips.

Because on my PHN16-71 running a 13th Gen i5-13500HX cpu the microcode that I've got is the 0x35 that was update in bios version 1.10 on 2023/05/29, so I don't know how the Intel microcode's work for different laptop cpu's and if your 11D and my 0x35 is the fix for the instability issues affecting its 14th & 13th Gen CPUs. Hope this explains it somehow.
