Dear Acer Support Team, I purchased my Acer Predator Triton 500 around four years ago. I'm considering replacing the thermal paste and would like your advice on whether to use thermal pads or thermal putty for the VRAM.

and Should I change the thermal paste after four years, or is it fine to stick with the original?

if yes, could you advise on the best thermal paste for my laptop? Also, between using thermal pads or putty for VRAM, which would you recommend?

ARCTIC MX-6 (4 g)

ARCTIC TP-3

and what about those ones?

Use the Thermal Grizzly products and use Isopoll alcohol to clean the old paste off completely, also I used thermal pads instead of the thermal pad paste for the vram chips. Below is the products that I used and it worked very successfully on my Nitro 5 AN515-56 laptop and reduced temps by 10°-15°c .

    • Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal for the CPU while for the GPU you should apply the
    • Kryonaut Extreme is a high performance normal paste for the GPU.
    • Minus Pad Extreme for the VRAM chips, these come in two sizes of 120x20mm and 100x100mm @ thicknesses of 0.5.1.0.1.5,2.0 and 3.0mm, so with these pads I bought the 0.5 and 1.0mm thicknesses as it was adequate to pack the VRAM chips so the pads make contact with the thermal module equally like the cpu and gpu paste chips do also, which is the purpose of the thermal pads for proper cooling.

Do all the above as it will work perfectly. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
