Hi Experts,

I am looking for advice on upgrading the RAM in my Acer Aspire A315-56-54L6. This model has 4GB DDR4 soldered RAM on the motherboard (which is marked FH5LI LA-J801P Rev:1.0) and one upgradable RAM slot.

One site suggested Maximum RAM is 12GB (8GB in the slot + 4GB soldered) supported.

However, I want to install a 16GB module. So, before I buy a 16GB DDR4, could anyone confirm whether they've done this specific upgrade on this particular model/board?

Any firsthand experience or any expert suggestions or tip would be really helpful. I'd like to ensure full compatibility and avoid wasting money on an incomplete module.

You need to check how much RAM your CPU supports and so after you can upgrade according to RAM capacity supported

My cpu intel® Core™ i5-1035G1 supports 64 GB, but its not always CPU dependent. My board is FH5LI LA-J801P and one 4GB is soldered (permanently attached).

    Thanks anyway.
