Hello..

I have the Predator PO3-640 with i712700F and RTX 3070 (8GB), i wanna upgrade my CPU but im kinda clueless because the motherboard is from Acer and that makes it harder i think ?? So my question is how do i know which CPU will fit my motherboard and do i have to change the power supply as well?

Typically we recommend a storage device upgrade first, unless yours is already fast (NVMe x4) and large enough (less than 25% in use). Next is memory, you should be running the base Windows at well under 50% memory usage, to allow overheard for apps. Next is the GPU, unless you don't game or do graphics/video. Only after all that would you look at CPU, unless you are doing something like developing multithreaded apps that can use the additional threads. In your case, you are already at the high end for the CPU, other than an i9-12900F, since the BIOS doesn't have direct support for the K models. Dropping a K or KF in just runs it like the one you have.

Hi, the i7-12700F, Alder Lake- Socket LGA 1700 - .2.10 GHz to max turbo 4.90 GHz frequency. - 12 Cores/20 Threads Total L2 Cache 12MB and at TDP-65W type CPU is already the most you can upgraded to, don't upgrade to the i9-12900K or KF as it won't work with this motherboard.

Memory, storage and GPU are the available upgrades to the base system. Cooling is the first update most people need. A CPU upgrade, when possible, is about the last thing to do, since it makes such a small improvement overall. By the time you run out of the other possibilities it's usually better to start with a new system.
