My camera suddenly stopped working. I tried updating de system, but it did nothing, I tried reinstalling de camera driver and also didn't work. Tried resetting the bios as well. My mic also stopped working, but it's showing the driver. I searched and there's a lot of people who had that problem, but none of the solutions worked for me. I'm really not sure what to do anymore

Hi, the easiest way to fix problems like this is to restore the system registry to a date before this happened (Windows System Protection needs to be enabled to have restore points): Type Restore in Windows Search and click on "Create a restore point" and on "System Restore" with a date.

    Try windows x
click on power shell admin or command prompt admin
    type rstrui
chose an earlier date on which your computer was working fineclick on next, finish, yes
It will restore your computer to an earlier date
if you get an message - system restore not completed - click on close
It will show you all the icons..

Try and check whether it is working now ..

If it is still not working ..

    Try windows x

    go to device manager

go to view - show hidden devices

if you are able to see the camera

Try to right click on camera

    uninstall and restart the computer.

    It should work fine

Since you are also facing the issue with microphone - also try to uninstall the audio drivers and restart the computer.

    Try windows x
Go to device manager - Go to sound video and game controllers. Expand it
Uninstall the sound driver from device manager. Please uninstall all the items below the sound video and game controllers. Restart the computer. It should work fine..

click on start - settings - system – sound – You will see chose your output and input device
On the " chose your output device " - chose headset or speakers as you desire..
On the "chose your input device" - click on drop down menu - chose microphone as the input

On type here to search on the lower left corner
    type microphone privacy
go to microphone privacy settings on the top
check whether Allow access to the microphone on this device is on
If it is off - click on change and turn it on

Allow apps to access your microphone is on

Scroll down - chose which microsoft store apps can access your microphone
check the apps escpecially zoom, skype , camera to on

Allow Desktop apps to access your microphone to on

    It should work fine
