Hi, you have to reverse the mains polarity which is difficult with a grounded 3 prong AC plug, you can use a 3 to 2-pin adapter that will fit the electrical wall outlet both ways as in some countries the 2 pin sizes of wall outlets are not identical to impede reversing polarity. Another way is to cut the AC cord and replacing the fixed plug with a 3-pin grounded plug that can be opened and reverse the neutral and live wires inside the new plug, but make sure you don't mix your wiring with the ground wire usually green or green and yellow banded, always check the wiring afterwards with a multimeter if the ground (round pin) on both ends of the cord measure "continuous".

It's much better to fix the house wiring if the neutral and load are reversed than to just mask the problem with a two prong adapter…

A buzzing noise coming from your outlets can indicate several potential issues, some of which could be concerning for safety. Here are a few things to consider:

1> Loose Connections: Over time, the connections inside electrical outlets can loosen. This can cause arcing, which produces a buzzing or crackling sound. Loose connections are a fire hazard and should be addressed promptly.

2> Overloaded Circuit: If the buzzing coincides with using certain appliances or plugging in multiple devices, your circuit might be overloaded. This can cause the outlet or wiring to overheat, leading to buzzing sounds and potentially sparking or fire.

3> Faulty Wiring: Older or improperly installed wiring can develop faults that cause buzzing. This is particularly dangerous as it increases the risk of electrical fires.

4> Electrical Interference: Sometimes, buzzing can be caused by electromagnetic interference from nearby appliances or electronics.

Given these possibilities, it’s important to take buzzing outlets seriously. Here’s what you can do:

Safety First: If you notice buzzing, first ensure your safety by unplugging any devices from the affected outlet and nearby outlets.

    • Inspection: If you’re comfortable and it’s safe to do so, inspect the outlet for visible signs of damage or overheating (blackening around the outlet, unusual heat, etc.).
    • Professional Inspection: To properly diagnose and address the issue, it’s advisable to call a licensed electrician. They can check the wiring, connections, and overall electrical system to identify and fix any underlying problems safely.
    • Preventive Measures: Avoid using the outlet until it has been inspected and repaired. Ensure that you’re not overloading circuits by plugging too many devices into a single outlet or power strip.
Ignoring buzzing outlets can lead to serious electrical hazards, including fires. Therefore, it’s best to have the issue inspected and resolved by a professional as soon as possible.
