Is there a way to find out, what this code means? Blue led blinking 3 times, in one second intervals, while the screen remains black? The laptop won't turn on…😓

You need to do a Hard Reset first, and also and if you haven't changed the battery you need to buy a new battery and replace it for your 5.5 years old laptop, as batteries on these laptops last a max of 4 years before you need to change them, as the side lights flashing is a battery problem sign.

But to make sure do the hard reset, by taking the back cover off and take the main battery out, disconnect the bios battery and short this batteries +&- pins at its mainboard plug to reset CMOS, take the ram module out and leave the laptop like that for 15min until the EC and Chipset chips reset, as they could be frozen and need resetting. Afterwards, reconnect all components., as dong this hard reset should boot your laptop perfectly after you have done this.

If the above doesn’t work, then you might have a power rail issue of a mosfet, capacitor or a condenser chip that has shorted and its not allowing the laptop to boot, so take the laptop to a technician near you so the problem can be pinpointed and fixed. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Take the main battery out first.

RTC/BIOS battery plug that needs its +&- pins shorted to reset CMOS with a metal screwdriver
