Hi, temperatures of 84°C. is normal when gaming with this laptop. if you want you can turn off Turbo Boost and use Balanced Power Plan in NitroSense and Best Power Efficiency mode in Windows Power and & Battery settings, consider installing freeware like Throttle stop and MSI Afterburner and in Windows Advanced Power settings reduce the Maximum Processor Power state for battery and on adapter to 95%, to make the system run cooler.

Many gaming laptops run hot, and temperatures up to 85°C are often considered normal. However, maintaining lower temperatures is better for long-term performance and lifespan. If your CPU frequently hits high temperatures, it might throttle performance to prevent overheating. This can affect gaming performance.

Here are a few things that I do while gaming on a laptop and hope you find it helpful too:-

    • Place your laptop on a hard, flat surface like a table instead of your bed or lap. This promotes better airflow.
    • Use a cooling pad if possible. I personally use a standing cooling pad, which circulates cool air and helps keep my laptop's temperature down.
    • Ensure that the vents and openings of your laptop are free of dust and not obstructed.
    • Make sure your room is well-ventilated. Use an AC or fan during hot weather, as room temperature can significantly impact your laptop's performance.
    • Avoid multitasking with demanding applications like torrents or multiple browser tabs while gaming. Close any unnecessary background apps.
    • Limiting your FPS is an effective way to manage temperatures.

Take 2 to 4 books of the same thickness and position each one so that part of the book is under either side of your laptop. This will help elevate the laptop and improve airflow.
