Chromebook R853TA, camera rotation issue in Signal App during Video calls

I have installed Signal App on my Chromebook. The video image from the camera is turned 90 degree when I do a video call. I tried several settings (tablet/laptop mode, auto-rotation on/off) but this had no effect. Is there anything else I can do to check what's wrong?

First, ensure that you have the latest version of Signal installed, as updates often fix bugs. If the issue persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app to address any potential problems with the installation files. Next, check the camera settings on your Chromebook by navigating to the "Settings" app, then "Device," and finally "Displays," to see if there are any options related to camera rotation or orientation. If these steps don't work, test other video calling apps like Zoom or Google Meet to identify if the problem is specific to the Signal app. Additionally, make sure your Chromebook is running the latest version of Chrome OS by going to "Settings" > "About Chrome OS" > "Check for updates."

How to enable or disable the Image Rotation

    1. Tap on Settings.
    2. Tap on Camera Settings.
    3. Under Image Rotation, click the toggle button to enable and disable the feature.
