Yesterday the laptop worked perfectly fine. Today when I try turning it on it says a dark screen. The battery led starts are orange then after 20 seconds it turns blue. Whenever I click the power button the led flashes and turns back off.

Hi, I believe this is a mid-2023 laptop, if the warranty is still valid, bring the laptop to Acer Services in your country or submit a 'Repair under warranty" ticket online at Acer Support and wait for instructions by e-mail.

First, connect your laptop to an external monitor to see if the problem lies with the internal display. If the external monitor works, the issue is likely with the laptop's screen. Next, reset the System Management Controller (SMC) by unplugging the power adapter, removing the battery, holding the power button for 30 seconds, plugging the power adapter back in, and then turning on the laptop.

If your Acer Nitro 17 laptop is not turning on, try these troubleshooting steps: first, check the power source and connections. Then, attempt a power reset by disconnecting the charger and battery (if removable), holding the power button for 30 seconds, and then reconnecting everything. If that doesn't work, try booting into Safe Mode or using Windows recovery to troubleshoot further.
    Detailed Troubleshooting Steps:

    1. Check Power Source and Connections:
Ensure the AC adapter is securely connected to both the laptop and a working power outlet.
Inspect the power cord and adapter for any damage.
Try a different power outlet or bypass a surge protector to rule out outlet issues.
    2. Power Reset:
Disconnect the charger and remove the battery (if removable).
Press and hold the power button for 30 seconds.
Reconnect the charger and battery (if applicable).
Attempt to turn on the laptop.
    3. Safe Mode:
Try booting into Safe Mode by repeatedly pressing the F8 key during startup. This can help isolate software issues.
    4. Windows Recovery:
If the laptop powers on but doesn't boot into Windows, try using Windows recovery tools (e.g., System Restore, Reset this PC).
You may need to create a Windows recovery drive on another PC to boot from.
    5. Check for External Peripherals:
Disconnect all external devices (USB drives, peripherals) to see if they are causing a boot issue.
    6. Battery and Charger:
If the laptop won't turn on at all, try removing the battery and powering it solely on the AC adapter to see if the battery is the issue.
    7. Hard Reset (Force Restart):
If the laptop is unresponsive, hold down the power button for about 10 seconds to force a shutdown, then attempt to turn it back on.
    8. Check for Beep Codes:
Listen for any beep codes during startup, which can indicate a hardware problem.
    9. Check for Hardware Issues:
If all else fails, the issue may be with the laptop's hardware (e.g., motherboard, RAM). Consult a professional for repairs in this case.
