Follow the instructions of the Mingfan DEG1 graphics card docking station, and use the cable that they provided which is the "JMT M.2 NCMe M key extension cable" that connects to the internal Nitro 17 M.2 slot #2 that has a max PCIe Gen4, 16 Gb/s speed and the other end connects to the dock.

See if the gpu is detected in Device Manager under > Display adapters or Disk drives, as you might need to install the NVidia RTX 40 Series > RTX4060 566.36 | WHQL Game Ready Driver for a desktop card instead of the notebook driver that your Nitro 17 has and that is why the RTX4060 card is not being detected or working.

This is a driver issue as in the video of Mingfan DEG1 graphics card docking station they use a different cable then the JMT M.2 NCMe M key extension cable, find out which type of cable that is, as I've got no idea. Good luck.

JMT M.2 NCMe M key extension cable provided

The diagram and cable below shown in the installation video of this product the connection cable is not the JMT M.2 NCMe M key extension cable, find out what type of cable they connected the dock in the video with, as your Nitro 17 has a TBT4 USB-C port that most of these external eGPU docking graphics use to connect to a laptop, as this Mingfan DEG1 graphics card docking station is the old way with an M.2 slot, ask them if they have a TBT4 connecting alternative.
