Hi Pearce39 (or whoever knows the answer :-)),

another question directly inspired by another post from you :-)

It's so awesome playing steam VR in glorious glasses free 3d! I have a daydream controller working with driver4vr and ovr advanced settings for movement mapped to buttons double click

So, I got two daydream controllers and have them working in driver4vr as left and right hand (Head Tracking: Off, Hand Tracking: Virtual Trackers). In Half Life Alyx the hands show up (in two other games not) and I can halfway decently point to the menu options to get the game started. The closest I found in OVR Advanced Settings to mapping anything was via menu point "Bindings" ⇒ Controller Bindings. There I could map a double click to a massive amount of options where none says "Movement" or similar. And without movement nothing is playable ;-)

It would be fantastic if you (or anybody else) can guide me to the best possible experience for 6dof (?) SteamVR via the PSV27-2.

I have a Quest 3 but I am not enjoying longer sessions with it as I am getting dizzy.

So 6dof isn’t possible with this method for that you’ll probably need steam vr lighthouses or maybe body trackers. I haven’t dabbled in that so I really am not sure. What I am doing now is using OpenVRopentrack, opentrack, an iPhone head tracker app for head tracking and driver4vr with Nintendo joycons because they have arm extend feature that sort of emulates 6dof and u can also turn in a circle and move up n down but there is drift but the daydream controllers have zero drift so those are the trade offs. But VRto3D can emulate head tracking mapped to the right stick in the config file but I’ve never tried it. But if you want to use ovr advanced settings the dashboard overlay needs to be running and you can go into there and mark a check mark on the space drag and space turn for the hand you want then go into the steam vr controller mapping after choosing ovr advanced settings and delete everything there and map a double click to the buttons you want and choose space drag and space turn and you can also choose height toggle so you can pick stuff off the floor quickly. I’m still dabbling in all this but there’s no info about this stuff online and I had to figure most of this out. It’s not good for fast paced games unless 6dof and easier movement can be figured out

This might be your best bet but I have never tried it and have zero experience. At the bottom it claims it can be used with OpenVRopentrack virtual hmd

the pro models actually has a steam vr bridge so if anyone can figure out how to use it on the non pro models would be sweet

so I’ve found the best way of doing this is with VRto3D yaw and pitch as head tracking on right stick turned on and the joy cons can do all the turning and maneuvering without having to double click and you can do reaching motion. I couldn’t get the yaw and pitch on right stick to work but I downloaded a program called betterjoy that turns the joycons into a xbox controller which allowed me to use it and still use them as 3dof vr controllers
