Acer A515-45 Laptop restarted after upgrading BIOS and all updates, should I downgrade to 1.10?

I recently updated to 1.52 from 1.10 with all latest windows update because my fan was making noise even when sitting idle.

Next day what happened was my system restarted automatically while working on excel. This is the first time this has happened.

What to do?? Downgrade BIOS to 1.10?? By the way, Fan is still making noise.

Hi @Rohan_Bhawsar I don't think the fan problem can be solved with a BIOS update, in fact, none of them claim to fix it.
I also don't think the reboot is the fault of the recent BIOS update you performed, but I wouldn't roll back the update just yet, keep an eye on it for a while.
Launch the event viewer to see if it gives a clue as to what caused the reboot:

Thank you for response. I reset the system again, this time I didnt installed windows updates, paused them. All good, no auto restart since 3 days, doesnt seems like Bios is culprit. The event viewer had showed Critical error - restarted unexpectedly - with not much details.

Ok, but it's still strange, a Windows update doesn't cause the fans to malfunction, the fan could be dirty with dust or it could have been affected by some foreign element.
Let us know how it goes in the next few days.

    Hi,

Uninstall the Acer Care Center (ACC) software, it is usually the culprit for causing instant reboots and abrupt shutdowns (Event ID 41 - Kernel-Power).

To adjust the FAN speed, try pressing Ctrl + F.

@Alejandro_AC So I had cleaned the fan and system before Bios update, there was lot of dust but even after that the fan were making noise. Now after updating the Bios, the fans have gone silent, could be due to thermal optimization update or something. The restart issue happened after the BIOS and Windows update, so I again reset everthing and stopped windows update. As of now, the fans only make noise for a few seconds when system boots for the first time or whenever resumed. Looks normal behaviour.

@eGomes You could be right because after Bios reset and windows update, all acer apps were functioning. Before reset and Bios update, I had disabled all acer services since I dont like nuisance running in the background. and Yes I was exploring the care center, So it could be the culprit. So I again reset the PC and disabled the Windows updates, but now the the acer apps, So I am wondering that Latest windows updates mixed with Acer apps could be the Chaos? There was Chaos in My Head too :)) But normal now. Thanks for response.
