Hello, I have a laptop Acer Nitro 5 AN15 57 Intel Cor and 5 11400 GE Force RTX 3060 16 GB RAM Win11. when playing various games such as Forza Horzion 5 /hell let loose/ CS2, after some time of gameplay, the graphics card seems to lose power. FPS drops to 5 and card usage drops to 4%. I can't do anything then and I have to reset the laptop with a button. The laptop reaches very high temperatures of 92 degrees Celsius while playing Forza Horizon 5. Additionally, sometimes I can't hear anything, then I have to unplug and plug in the headphones from the USB port and the sound fixes itself. Please help

To do a battery report follow the below guide and check the FULL CHARGE CAPACITY to the DESIGN CAPACITY and if the battery is less than 50%-60% of its design capacity it needs replacing,. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

    Battery report guide:

    Enter this command: powercfg /batteryreport /output "C:\battery_report.html"

Hi, some things you can check, what is the condition of the battery after 3½ years daily use, run a battery report. Do you keep the power adapter plugged in 24/7. Does your RAM needs upgrading. When was the laptop cleaned and repasted, recommended every 2 years. How many programs do you have running at the background, should not exceed 80 (check in Task Manager-Processes). Is your BIOS version up to date: 2023/09/13 version 1.20. Run these two commands after going online: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and this: SFC /scannow.

There is no such model as the Nitro AN15-57 😁 you mean the Nitro AN515-57 laptop, what you need to do with this laptop is to make sure that you have the latest Win-11 24H2 version OS installed with all the windows updates that will have the OS build 26100.2605, then install the NVidia GeForce Experience software and use this software to make sure that your RTX3060 gpu is at the latest GeForce Game Ready Driver 566.36 | Windows 11 and play all those games within the NVidia GeForce software settings as they have over 1500 of the major games included, also make sure that you have the latest AN515-57 bios version 1.20 installed as doing all this will make sure that your laptop will perform at it peak performance.

Also you need to check the battery condition and do a battery report and see how the battery is charging and if its not contributing to any malfunction of the laptop if the battery needs replacing, as that could put a strain on the laptop also. Also and as this laptop was initially released on the 2021/04/20 it most definitely needs to have its cpu and gpu paste and the vram pads inside this laptop replaced. I’ve got a similar spec laptop like your AN515-57 the AN515-56 with the i7-11370H/RTX3050 and this is what I used to change the cpu and gpu paste and the vram chip paste that Acer used but I replaced it with thermal pads. Its up to you if you want to do all this but I'm speaking from personal experience that I'm passing onto you, as in my case using the below products has improved temps with a multi fan tablet cooler also by 10°C-20°C in gaming. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.

These are the Thermal Grizzly products that I used:

Thermal Grizzly Conductonaut Extreme liquid metal for the CPU while for the GPU you should apply the Kryonaut Extreme that is a high performance paste and for the VRAM chips apply their Minus Pad Extreme which come in two sizes of 120x20mm and 100x100mm @ thicknesses of 0.5.1.0.1.5,2.0 and 3.0mm.

    battery looks good
    DESIGN CAPACITY 58,751 mWh
    FULL CHARGE CAPACITY 50,620 mWh
    So it`s still not that.

Sounds like a loose connection (hardware issue), check the power adapter plug if that has a tight fit or is just hanging loose in the barrel port of your laptop. If you have nothing else attached like an external monitor or USB device that may cause this behavior I would turn off and disconnect everything, open the back of your laptop, disconnect the battery cable and unseat and reseat the DDR4 RAM modules, check all cables and connectors specially to your HDD/SSD and adapters (GPU/WIFI), see if the DC adapter port is loose/burnt. If everything checks out and it still crashes like you describe I would bring/send the laptop to Acer Services for checking.
