If the motherboard of an acer nitro 5 breaks, can the data be recovered?

A few days ago my PC suddenly turned off, even though it was connected to the power cable. I tried to turn it back on but it doesn't turn on and when I press the power button the light bulb next to the battery light comes on and if I hold it down they both light up for 5 seconds and then turn off. If the problem was the motherboard, would my data be at risk? Or even if it wasn't, are my data safe?

Hi @ColuiCheRide your data is on the disk drive (or drives if you have more than one) and will be safe when you remove it from the broken motherboard (you can use it on a new computer, although you will probably have to reinstall the operating system), the rest of the items do not have personal data on them, the memory may contain data but it is volatile and is not stored after the computer is turned off.

NOTE: In the event that this happens and the disk needs to be formatted, you will need to have an external disk reader where you can access your personal information to copy it)
In the event that the computer has a disk drive integrated into the motherboard itself, you will need to destroy that soldered disk, although it would be very difficult to unsolder it and then obtain information.

To avoid losing personal data in cases where it is impossible to recover it from the disk, it is highly recommended to make constant backup copies on an external medium.
