Acer does not specify the thickness of what pads they use, the aim with the thermal pads is for the pads to touch the thermal module so that the VRAM chips can dissipate the heat onto the thermal module adequately and efficiently with the thermal pad in between making contact with the thermal module, so that is what you should aim for!

So go and buy the appropriate thickness thermal pads of a high quality, look at the Thermal Grizzly pads as that is what I use and can recommend. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

You can get both 1mm and 2mm pads.
