Trying to replace single core CPU with a Dual Core.

 

I have an Acer Aspire M1202

BIOS version R03-B3

 

Motherboard:

 

Manufacturer: Foxconn

Part Number:RS740M03A1-8EKRS2H

 

Specifications:

 

CPU/Processor Socket: AM2

System Chipset: ATI RS740 SB700 Marvell 8071 UATX

Front-side bus (FSB): 800/1066/1333 MHz

Memory Slots: 2 x DDR2

 

I plug in a Dual Core CPU and everything fires up (I.E. Fans, able to open/close CD Tray), but nothing else happens. 

 

I put the Single Core CPU back in and everything works fine.

 

Can it be my BIOS version? 

A setting in BIOS I am missing?

Something else I'm doing wrong?
