Hello,

I use 1MORE ComfoBuds Pro wireless Bluetooth earbuds. They work great on my iPhone.
When I connect these earbuds to my laptop (Aspire A515-56G; article number NX.A1LEH.001; Windows 11) I got mono sound through both earbuds. On my laptop I see under Sound / properties that the default setting is 1-channel, 16 bits, 16,000 Hz (see screenshot 5). I cannot change this to 2-channel (is grayed out).

I tried to update the drivers for Sound and Bluetooth. After done that, it's even worse. Although the earphones are connected to Bluetooth and I can select them for Audio output, the audio continues to come from the wired speakers. Also the Bluetooth earphones are no longer work in Microsoft Teams for video calls.

I hope there's someone who can help me to fix these problems.

Thanks for your help.

Kind regards,
Bert Klaver

First refresh the existing BT driver in Device manager by doing the below:

Go to > Device Manager > Bluetooth > Intel or MTK or Atheros Wireless Bluetooth > right click the card Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer > and then pick the last and most recent dated BT driver that is in that list, and reinstall that driver, as afterwards your BT should work.

If the above doesn't work uninstall the BT driver and reboot the laptop and see if the BT reengages and works, if it doesn't, then the driver is corrupted and needs to be completely uninstalled and reinstalled with the oem BT Acer driver from the A515-56G support page (install this driver as eventually windows update will update this driver anyway) as afterwards the 1MORE Comfobuds Pro should work and the audio should be perfect. If not then you need to uninstall and reinstall the Intel graphics and the NVidia graphics drivers as they have a bearing on your laptops audio also.

Also, for best audio volume enhancement, install the FxSound sound enhancer as that boosts the audio in these laptops considerably as this enhancer has allot of preset sounds like jazz, classical, hip hop, pop etc etc and its a free and great sound enhancer. Good luck and hope this helps you out and solves this problem.

    Welcome @bertklaver,

Also check through 1MORE MUSIC app (connect these earbuds at your phone), if there are firmware updates available over OTA firmware upgrade:

Try disable Hands Free Telephony in Bluetooth Services list:

Hi, many thanks for your support. Unfortunately it's not possible to update the Firmware of my 1More Comfobuds Pro. The 1More App in the Apple store I downloaded doesn't have that OTA Firmware Option (see screenshot).

The other option (switching off the handsfree in the service tab of the 1More Earbuds) disconnect the Earbuds completely from my laptop (not only the microphone).

If you have other suggestions: always welcome.

    Best regards, Bert

    Hi StevenGen,

Also thanks for yourhelp. I did all the suggestions; unfortunately without succes.

After deleting the Realtek Audio driver and reinstalled it with the software downloaded from the Acer site (start the exe file in the downloaded software which reinstalled the old drivers; did a startup of my laptop and followed the instructions on screen from the Realtek software and had to restart again my laptopt), I saw that still the Microsoft driver 10.0.22621.1 (dated 6-5-2022) is used.
In other words: the Realtek driver is after starting up, overwritten by Windows?

If you have any other suggestions: you're welcome.

    Best regards, Bert
