I have an Acer Nitro 5-AN515-58-79YK. Does anyone know if it is compatible with double sided m.2 Kingston kc3000 2 tb ssd. I heard it might be a problem because it is double-sided.

The Nitro 5 AN515-58 service guide does not specify that a double sided M.2 SSD is not compatible or will not work with the AN515-58 laptop and that it will only operate with a single sided M.2 SSD. I see no problems with fitting the KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD into your laptop.

But one thing that I do know as I’m using this drive, is that the Samsung 990 Pro NVMe Gen 4 x4 with heatsink drive (which the heatsink version will not fit in your AN515-58 as you will not be able to close the back lid) but the plain 990 Pro NVMe M.2 SSD will, is a much better drive and is 100% compatible and has better software support with the Samsung Magician and Data Migration software and all the performance and firmware updating tools that I’m using with my PHN16-71 and it’s a very speedy drive and I can’t be more satisfied with the results since I’ve updated to this drive. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

even if it fits, the problem could arise due to insufficient heat dissipation. Will the SSD fit in with heatsinks fitted on either sides.
