Extensa 215-55 How to remove all trace of Office 365 to install non-subscription version

I have a new Extensa 215-55 which came with Office 365 trial.

I have a downloaded Office suite to install, but the install fails, with error: 30182-44, saying already have Office installed.

Cannot find any trace of Office in Programs.

Have seen posts suggesting ways to remove from powershell, but that has made no difference.

Trying to open a Word document fails, as it did not find Word installed.

It seems to be hiding in there somewhere, how do I cleanse it?

Check in the installed apps to see if the Office is uninstalled completely.

Thank you and have a nice day!

Yes, use Settings; Apps and uninstall the Office trial is an option, but since it's already installed you should be able to just activate it with the key that came with your purchase. Launch something like Word or Excel and when it complains about it not being registered just use your key to activate it.

"Cannot find any trace of Office in Programs." So Win11 now calls them apps, same thing. So, NO, it is not there, no trace in installed apps, but still get the error suggesting it is in there somewhere. What I asked is, how do I get rid of the residual bits it has left behind.

Or is it lurking within some Acer files as part of the original install?

My original post describes what I have done, it does not exist in the apps listing, so impossible to uninstall from there.

I am not going to activate a subscription app, when I have a perfectly good fully paid for program ready to install. I use this infrequently, so no reason to pay a subscription.

I'm not sure if this will help, but make sure you download your Office paid version from account.microsoft.com/services, not from the office.com website.

Hi, not easy to do, one of the reasons people clean install Windows to get a pristine registry without traces of bloatware and preinstalled apps lingering. Some used Winaero freeware: Winaero Tweaker for that, I used the MS Office uninstall tool Uninstall Office from a PC - Microsoft Support but still got frequent reminders about Office365 till I used Windows PowerShell with "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers | Select Name" and removed all Office remnants, I also had to edit the registry after that (not recommended). Same problems uninstalling McAfee, etc. and MS Power Toys. Best to Clean Install Windows and get it over with.
