For the past 2 months, the power indicator has been acting very faulty.

I noticed it started blinking between blue - orange - purple. After a few weeks, it settled with just solid purple. Right now it just shows a solid orange. And this happens regardless if it is plugged in or not.

I haven't really noticed any difference with it's performance but I'm just worried it might suddenly break at some point.

Is the laptop on and still showing the orange indicator? If so, the USB board is having a problem with the LEDs. Try to reseat the cable that connects between the motherboard and the USB board or replacing the USB board.
