I have an acer aspire tc-885 desktop. it only has 8 GB Ram. What is a good choice to upgrade to 16 or 32 GB…The CPU is 2800 and the operating system is i5-8400. Any suggestions?

Acer recommends for the TC-885 a max of 32GB RAM into the 2x memory slots at DDR4 2666MHz or DDR4-2400MHZ at 288-pin modules.

It really depends on your use. Open Resource Monitor and watch where your memory use is during normal and heavy operations. If you are running at under 8GB most of the time, and only getting to, say, 12GB maximum, you can likely do fine with 16GB total. If you are running at 12GB normally and pushing 16 or 20GB under heavy load then you really want 32GB, but you also likely want a newer computer, since your 8th gen is now six years old…
