Hi, I want to use linux (debian-based) with Acer TravelMate P614-52 (intel core i5 16gb ram), and I'm encountering issues with:

  1. Absence of drivers for a built-in webcam.
  2. Poor usb-c/thunderbolt performance in terms of supporting additional monitors, PD (Idk if there is any support for any charging standard).

Also, is there any chance I can upgrade ram? I've looked inside, but unfortunately I did not find any ram extention ports. Can you please share some technical sheet about insides of this thing?

The TravelMate P614-52 is a laptop designed for the windows operating systems and came with either Win-10 Home or Pro versions but can also run Win-11 Home and Pro and all Linux drivers need to come for that OS as Acer did not specifically have anything for Linux. With the ram this laptop has is soldered onto the mainboard and can't be upgraded as its a Dual-channel LPDDR4X SDRAM support that this laptops models have is either 8 GB / 16GB or 32GB of onboard memory. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
