ANV15-51 GPU fan running at max speed and not able to control it

My laptop is ANV15-51. From past few days my laptops gpu fan is running at max and keeps fluctuating although am not gaming and just watching Netflix and light browsing. And also the nitro sense software sometimes doesn’t respond when I set the fans to custom at min speed. The CPU fan is working normal and I can adjust the speed manually through nitro sense software. And also I’ve updated everything including the graphic driver so at the current moment am stuck. Someone please let me know if it’s normal or is there any issue.

  • Hi,

What happens when you switch to Auto for fan speed? Anyway, download and install HWmonitor, run it and post the temperatures like shown in my picture.

i have exactly the same problem after nvidia driver update, but i ignore and do some game until my ears gave up because of the noise, already install hwinfo and no warning or over heating.

after 3 hour gaming i decide to reset the whole system after windows system-restore have no effect, so now its on factory default and the GPU fan still on max rpm, been checking on earlier model they say some PCH design problem but in hwinfo PCH temp under 50C ( well all temp are under 50 because even in idle mode its still goes max RPM)

MSI afterburner not working too so gonna go to acer SC after new year

update : so my unit still on warranty so and i have to go to acer SC 2x

    1. they replace the mother board (their SOP) it didnt work so i contact and tell them its still having issue with the GPU fan
    2. they replace the fan part, its works now been using in for like a week and no problem they update the bios to 1.18 i also request EC thermal bios 1.06 i dont know if its relevance but my unit have 2 bios file in the drive

so if you still have your warranty bring to acer or extend your warranty
