Hey, there!

Recently, my Aspire 7 A715-74G randomly stopped turning on. It’s weird, because I used it the day before and it was working perfectly fine.

However, when I plug in the charger an orange light comes up, but if I press the power button, nothing happens.

If just someone could help, I really need it for school. Thank you!

    (1) Unplug the charger.
    (2) Press & hold power button for about 30 seconds to auto reset/disconnect the battery from the mainboard.
    (3) Plug charger back in.
    (4) If battery charge LED is lit, wait for it to turn steady blue before trying to turn it on.
    (5) If battery charge LED is unlit or blinking, remove charger again and snug up the bottom cover screws
    (6) Plug charger back in.
    (7) If charge LED is still unlit, then yes arrange for warranty repair

Hi, reset the battery by inserting a pin in the small pinhole in the back of the laptop with a battery sign. Push the pin down till you feel it click and keep pushing for 5 seconds, remove the pin, plug in the adapter and try to boot.

Unplug the adapter, open the back of your laptop and disconnect the battery cable from the motherboard, press the power button for 2 minutes continuously (don't toggle), open the clamp/hasp on the DDR4 (RAM) and remove the DDR4 module, clean the contacts with a soft rubber pencil eraser. Put the DDR4 back in the slot and push down the hasp till you hear a loud click to lock the DDR4 module again. Don't yet reconnect the battery but close the back (without screws) and plug in the power adapter to see if your laptop will start without a battery. If that works reconnect the battery and try to boot first with the battery only, then plugged in.
