I just bought a Aspire 5 (A515-57-587D) it came with 1TB PCIe NVMe SSD and I want to install a second PCIe NVMe SSD. Can I install a 2TB SSD or higher ?

The Aspire A515-57 has the following storage M.2 SSD drive specs, its JSSD2 is a Gen 3 x4 lane type slot speed so I would install this type of a drive as a 4TB capacity or a Gen 4 x4 as that will also work as these drives are backward compatible but the Gen 4 x4 lane drive in JSSD2 slot will work at the Gen 3 x4 lane speed only, while its JSSD1 boot drive slot is a Gen 4 x4 lane type speed slot which the fastest M.2 SSD drive is the Samsung 990 Pro NVMe that also comes in 1TB 2TB and 4TB capacities.

Note: that windows OS drive capacities are governed by their format and MBR/Legacy format has a max 2.2TB capacity while GUID (GPT) format which thios laptop has, has a max capacity of 8 petabyte.

Have a look at this benchmark tests of allot of 1TB 2TB and 4TB M.2 SSD drives of Gen 3, 4 and 5 type drives and their speeds and chose an appropriate Gen 2 x4 lane 4TB drive for your A515-57 laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
