The power cord to my Acer Nitro AN517-55 has been very picky about the position of the power cord in order to charge. It's been like that since the adaptor box case broke and I had to keep it together with electrical tape. Every cord I've been find has been for an AN517-51 or AN517-52. The barrel plugs and the volts seem to match, but I want to make sure before I make the purchase.

The barrel plug of the older Nitro AN517-51 and 52 are the same plug and will fit into your Nitro AN517-55 laptop, as they are all a 1,7 x 5.5 plug, but if your 517-55 has the oem higher 280W adapter then the other adapters will not be adequate for your laptop to charge and operate as they are either a 130W or a 180W adapter charger.

I would always use the adapter charger wattage that was supplied oem by Acer for your Nitro AN517-55 laptop, do not use a lower or a higher wattage adapter as it could damage your laptop especially if you have the adapter plugged into the laptop 24/7. Search for the approptiate adapter that was supplied with your AN517-55 and search with the below Acer part number, as they are available and they are not expensive.
