Acer Swift 3 (SF313-52-79FS) won't turn on. The screen stays black while the keyboard lights up, and the battery indicator shows a blue light. When I try to charge it, the laptop makes the charging sound, but nothing changes afterward. I can also hear the fan running.

I tried resetting it by pressing a pin into the pinhole for 30 seconds, but it didn't work. I also left the laptop on overnight to drain the battery (indicated by the amber battery light) and charged it in the morning, but this did not work either.

I attempted key combinations such as Fn + F2 and Win + Ctrl + Shift + B, but they also did not work. I tried shining a light on the screen, but it is completely black, with no faint images or light visible.

You need to do a hard reset as the EC chip or chipset chip could be frozen if not then its the main power rail that could have either a capacitor or a mosfet shorted or similar,

Open the back cover of your SF313-52 laptop, take the battery out and disconnect the RTC/BIOS battery and shorts its +&- pin at the plug to reset CMOS, leave the laptop like that for 1 hour, afterwards replace everything and reboot the laptop.

If the above hard reset doesn’t do anything and you still have the same symptoms then you laptops main power rail or EC chip are affected, take you laptop to an experienced technician that has all the tools like a thermal gun so that he can inject a small current and pinpoint which component of you laptop is shorted or affected and see if it can be fixed.
