Predator P03-655-UR17 Question about RAM and secondary SSD

I'm considering buying a Predator Orion 3000 P03-655-UR17. Two questions. First involving RAM. It comes with 2x8GB DDR5-4000. I understand if I add any other RAM it will still only run at 4000 max. I would like to remove the original RAM and upgrade to 32GB of DDR5. I have seen some different posts with conflicting information about the actual limitation of the motherboard (P03-655). I would like to know what the max speed is for the motherboard if possible. One spec said 5600 MT/s with a caveat that it actually runs at 4800 max. I know if I buy higher speed RAM it will just run at the max allowed by the CPU but it seems silly to buy a higher speed than the CPU can use unless the consideration is a longer term upgrade down the road and re-using the same RAM. I want to get the fastest RAM that will be compatible with the computer.

Second question is I already have a Samsung 870 QVO SATA III 4TB SSD in my current computer as my secondary hard drive. Will I be able to pop this in the Predator and slave it as a secondary hard drive for extra storage.

I appreciate any advice as I'm not super computer savvy.

Just to clarify, I understand if I add any other RAM to the remaining 2 slots while leaving in the original DDR5-4000 RAM, it will all be limited to 4000 MT/s, regardless of the speed of the new extra RAM. So I want to remove the original RAM and upgrade to probably 2x16G DDR5- XXXX (whatever is fastest compatible with motherboard).

Since the laptop has 2 SSD bay, yes you Will be able to pop this in the Predator and slave it as a secondary hard drive for extra storage.

Just in addition. as the ram of the PO3-655 desktop is clearly explained in its eManual that it runs at max 4400MT/s speed, which has a detailed section on the ram placement and spec of the PO3-655 desktop. The most suitable DDR55 ram is the DDR5-4800MT/s type ram, don't waste your money on DDR5-5600MT/s.

The PO3-655 desktop drives specs are as follows, it has 2x SATA III type slots so that your Samsung 870 QVO SATA III 4TB SSD will fit perfectly, this desktop also has 2x M.2 slots of the following specs; SSD1 boot drive is a Gen 4 x4 lane type slot and SSD2 slave drive is a Gen 3 x4 lane type slot. The best and quickest Gen 4 x4 lane M.2 SSD drive is the Samsung 990 Pro that comes in 1TB 2TB and 4TB capacities so you have a great scope to upgrade this to have a very high capacity storage. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Below is the PO3-655 mainboard layout and its SATA III and M.2 slots for your information

I believe the reason Acer uses 5600 memory instead of 4800 is that the 5600 is more available, and likely cheaper in the quantities that they purchase.
