I have just bought this pre-built gaming PC, however from the moment I started it up, even before installing Windows, I noticed that the PSU fan is just going on full throttle, it is extremely loud. Is this normal?

Its normal for a PSU fan to be auditable to an acceptable level but not too annoyingly loud, the Nitro N50-656 desktop is the latest Acer model in this lineup and it uses the Acer proprietary PSU of either the 300W or the 500W power, unfortunately these PSUs can't be upgraded to the current 24pin higher quality modular PSUs on the market today, as the N50-656 desktops mainboard has proprietary Acer power plugs at ATX_POWER1 which is a 6-pin ATX power connector and the 2nd ATX_12V is an Auxiliary 8-pin power connector, so you can't upgrade tis PSU.

What I suggest is that you contact and book a service call with Acer tech support in your country, and get Acer to replace the oem PSU for another PSU as these PSUs should not be making an annoying auditable and loud sound especially when they are brand new and out of the box. Good luck and hope all this helps you out.
