Hello, I just got a new battery for my acer aspire E15 E575G and I'm only getting 3 hours of battery life at most from it, wondering if its normal and also pc shuts off at 20 percent battery percentage. attached is my battery report, I'll appreciate feedback.

Hi, the E15 E575G is from 2016 but the battery report was made on an Acer Aspire A515-51G (2017) and the battery is from 2022 while you wrote you just installed a new battery? This new battery was not registered by BIOS and ACPI drivers as it is still using the stats from the previous 2022 battery. If you are using Acer Care Center, uninstall that first and in Windows10 Services Stop the accSvc and accAgentSvc services, right click on each and in Properties change the Startup type to disabled. Boot to BIOS with F2 and press F9 (reset), an F10 Save changes on Exit BIOS. Boot to Windows and reset your Power Plan in "Edit Power Plan", then uninstall these 2 battery drivers in Device Manager.

Reboot and plug-in the power adapter, charge till the amber battery LED turns blue and wait 10 minutes. check the battery meter on the taskbar if it shows 100% charge. Unplug the power adapter and work till the laptop shuts down automatically, don't worry you won't lose data, don't touch the power button and do not shutdown manually. Close the lid and plug-in the power adapter, don't open the lid but let it charge till the LED turns blue again and wait 10 minutes. This procedure is called One Full Charge Cycle that you need to do when installing a new battery or after resetting Windows. Run a new battery report and post it again. Note the report should show "Connected Standby Supported" for a new high-grade battery and when charged 100% should last 4-5 hours running basic programs with limited browsing, no video/music playback, no external USB devices connected. Note don't install Windows11 as the 7thGen CPU is not supported by W11 but the Aspire A515-51G may have an 8th Gen CPU and a TPM2.0 chip that will run Windows11. Tell us what laptop model you have.

HI, sorry for the late reply, I live in a country with continous power outage, so I wanted to ask if the whole process is to be done in a row, because I did it at intervals and didn't get the required result, it still showed "connected standby" not supported.

Try to calibrate the battery by fully charging the laptop, and use it until it shuts down. Is this a genuine battery or an after-market one? Some after-market batteries might have a problem showing the correct percentage and make the laptop shut down even at 20%.

Generally, 3 hours is a great battery time for this model.

Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
Thank you and have a nice day!
