New Update on Nitro 5 AN515-58? Says keep your device on and plugged in

I was using my laptop normally just a couple hours ago, testing some things in obs and then had to restart because the cam was not showing up, a normal bug that has happened to me before in the software. But after it shut down it started updating and showing "System updates are underway. Please keep your device on and plugged in." (attached a pic below), it also made the fans go at full speed, kind of like when you update the Firmware. Thing is, I didn't update anything.

One thing though, after it booted up I looked in Windows Update and there was one update available called "Acer Incorporated - HIDClass - 1.0.0.12" which I looked up and apparently is just a touchpad driver update? So I don't know if that has anything to do.

The latest, "biggest" update I did was to Windows 11 24H2, but that was yesterday and I had already restarted my laptop at least twice after that, no update screen like that on start-up.

I also looked up in Care Center but no updates there either. Functionality is perfectly fine, I just would like to know what changed (if anything).

My device is a:
Nitro AN515-58
i5 12500H
RTX 3050 Ti 4GB
16GB of RAM

If you installed the last Win-11 version 24H2 update and its last 2024-12 “Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Version 24H2 for x64-based Systems (KB5048667)”updates and your AN515-58 is running OS build 26100.2605 and your laptop is functions correctly, then leave the laptop alone as that "Acer Incorporated - HID Class - 1.0.0.12" is an update to the 24H2 update which needed to be updated as it wasn't up to date.

I suggest that you uninstall Acer Care Centre also, as this software doesn’t do anything and don’t use the 80% battery charge option also, as that is also an unnecessary thing that Acer has and it doesn’t work. My experience with these Acer updater software's is that ever since Acer first released them, they never ever did anything and/or updated anything, so don’t rely on the Care Centre to update anything.

Just to let you know my experience with the nitro laptop, I'm using an earlier Nitro AN515-56 Nitro 5 and I’ve always kept this laptop up to date with all windows updates, NVidia updates and all bios and firmware update and now the last Win-11 24H2 and the December 2024 OS build 26100.2605 and this laptop has always functioned perfectly and very speedily and never ever has had a BSOD or any OS errors, this latop is also pugged in 24/7 with the adapter and the battery has only 21% overall wear over the oem battery Design Capacity: 57,488 mWh after 3.5 years and its still perfect. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
