Hi guys, i grabbed my closed laptop to study earlier and realised that the left hinge wasn’t closed and was ripping the screen case completely off. I opened the case to find out that all 4 of the screws holding the hinge where snapped off.
I’ve tried to look online for the specific screws that i need to fix that said hinge but couldn’t find anything.
if anyone could help finding the specific size and where to buy it, i’d greatly appreciate it! Thank you guys for your help in advance:)

I keep all the little screws from dead laptops just in case. Also, the screws holding the bottom cover of working laptops because once I open it I only reinstall the four corners, or none of them at all. My point being you could remove four of those screws to use on your hinges. It is very odd the screws were "snapped off", since I've never seen that. I have seen the screws rip out the plastic threads, or rip out the brass insert in the plastic. If a brass insert I simply epoxy it/them back in. If plastic, I fill the hole with epoxy, put the part in place and insert the screw. Sure it won't want to come out again, but do you really need that? Optionally you could use other glues that are not as strong, but the hinge is a pretty stressful area so no guarantees. You can also lighten the tension of the hinges by loosening the nut on the hinge pin, which of course reduces stress on the connection points that broke.

The below list is the Aspire A315-24 required hinge screws, there are 8 screws and you can search these screws by the Acer part number or by its size of M.2/5 x 2.5 and buy a box of these exact screws and other different sizes in a box from eBay or Amazon or just buy the required amount of hinge screws that you require also. Good luck and hope this helps you further.

Hi, you need to bring the laptop to Acer Services in your country to replace the entire hinge assembly, bezel and frame. Don't open/close the laptop with only one hinge as the flexing of the lid will crack the screen. Estimated cost around $200 (not covered by warranty).

Only take your A315-24P to Acer tech support if the laptop is under the Acer warranty, as for Acer to fix this problem, it will be very expensive and like 5 times more than if you do the job yourself, so be aware of all this. If the screws have broken way from the bottom case securing points then the whole bottom case securing points then NO glued will secure the hinge like the oem screws did securely and properly to the bottom case, as it will break again.

Best fix and solution, is to buy a new Aspire A315-24P louver case (its like US $38.49) and change all the components to the new case, its not a hard job if you tackle this task systematically and properly, I've done this many times and its quite a fun task to do and not that hard, make sure that you have an anti static wrist band when you do this. Good luck and hope this helps you out some more.
