After 2 days my new out of the box Acer Connect X6E stoped working so I restarted the device. Then it works for 10 minuntes. After that the 5G connection stops working. Then I restart the device again, and it works for 10 minuntes and then stops. The management interface just works, I can login and see at the dashboard that there are 5 out of 5 bars 5G, there is an IP adress 10.x.x.x but no traffic. Traceroute and ping result in not starting the connection, surfing on the web and other things doesn't work at all.

Changed settings (APN, etc.) doesn't fix this. Changed to 4G, same problem. Using the latest firmware (X6E_GBL_1.02.000034 and X6E_V1.1.4_GBL_240207) and I've changed the Vodafone SIM twice.

It doesn't change anything, system boots, wait 10 minuntes and the 4G / 5G connection goes down. Reset to factory default and resetup doesn't fix this issue.

Is my device just broken? (after 2 days) or could it be something else?

Love to hear / read from you.

Have you asked Vodafone? Maybe they are doing something weird…

@billsey Thanks for your feedback. With vodafone we checked the APN settings etc. Perhaps it was a broken simcard, so they send me a new one. This didn't help. Any other ideas ?

Same problem. It's not the SIM, in my case it worked fine. It's an X6E problem. I sent it to support twice and they replaced it twice. I hope it doesn't happen again!

@sil_anc How often does it happen ? It the solution to swap the device ? Its a running backup internet connection, and now we found out the back doesnt work like it should. How long do you have your X6E ??

@boumacor The first two started having problems after about two and a half months, the one I have now was sent to me about 15 days ago.

@sil_anc Thanks for the information. This doens't sound good. Is it possible that you need to change again in 8 weeks ?

@boumacor I really hope not!!! If this ever happens, I don't think I will contact support again and buy one of another brand that also has the possibility of being managed by its own application and not by the browser.
