Trouble with ACER Laptop Predator Helios16 PH16-71 95-L8, Intel 9i CPU.But first, the back story: I had the ACER Predator Triton 315 for a few years and was very happy with it. I gave this laptop to my daughter, her old model didn't want it anymore.Because I was satisfied with the Triton, I purchased the ACER Predator Helios16 PH16-71-95L8 on Jan. 26, 2024. (129,999.00 pesos)

Even though I, as an expert, know better, I installed a second SSD and destroyed the warranty seal in the process.

Now the problems began. I bought the laptop in the Philippines, I live in the Philippines. Because of the language, I wanted to install Windows 11 in German. Installation also went well until the window in which the installation target is selected. Here everything remained empty, no HDD or SSD was displayed, nothing. Complaint in store. The seller tried around for days until he finally managed to install in German.

However, the laptop didn't work as it should. Various settings didn't work, including the keyboard backlight. It just blinked and sometimes it stayed dark or ran like a running light in a disco. Starting up took forever and shutting down took twice as long.

On February 3rd, 2024 I went to the Alabang Service Center for the first time. Everything was rejected there because of the broken seal.Back in the sales shop and the seller tried around again without a satisfactory result.

On February 8, 2024, I brought the laptop to the Main Center in Manila. Described the problem and pointed out that the battery in the laptop was not attached and also ordered a second RAM bar.I was able to pick up the laptop on February 29, 2024. My wish to install Windows in German was not granted, but the RAM bar was installed and the battery (approx. 7000 pesos) was changed. The laptop worked, including the keyboard, more fairly than poorly. Going up and down took what felt like ages.

On June 28, 2024, the start was canceled and everything remained black. The rescue stick could not be restored to the backup, nor the Windows 11 stick could be started, the start routine could not be called up to change it, everything remained black, and no fan started. Laptop was dead.In the afternoon to the Alabang Service Center. I was told that it was a motherboard error and that it was covered by the warranty, despite the broken warranty seal. At monthly I was put off making inquiries until the end of each month.

On October 4th, 2024, I brought copies of all documents to the Alabang Service Center, and they were taken with the laptop to the ACER Main Center on October 5th, 2024, with the reference to the end of the month.

On November 4th, 2024 I was again informed of the end of the month, until today. Honestly, I'm fed up. I'm not concerned with the error itself, it certainly didn't occur because the guarantee seal was broken. I'm concerned about how long the repair will take. Why is the mainboard being repaired and/or ordered and/or replaced in such a long time? It would be easier to just swap the laptop. For this price, every customer can expect a 100% functioning device, even here in the Philippines.

You did the Win-11 installation wrong and you must have done something that corrupted the installation, to do a clean install follow the below guide.

To do a clean install of Win-11 you need to have the IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 19.5.1.1040 on the Win-11 installation USB as you can't install Win-11 otherwise, its a very simple process to install Win-11, the German version install is done through the installation process of Win-11, you also need to install the latest Win-11 version 24H2 and build a 8GB bootable installation USB with the Rufus 4.5 software and then put the Win-11 24H2 version .ISO file onto that USB and the IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 19.5.1.1040 and put this USB into the PH16-71 USB 3.2 port and reboot the laptop as the laptop should boot into the installation USB and then you can start the Win-11 24H2 installation in German language.

When you get to the installation section at "Where do you want to install Windows? > go to Load driver and install the > IRST (Intel® Rapid Storage Technology) Driver version 19.5.1.1040 the the M.2 SSD boot drive will be recognized and then you can finish the Win-11 installation properly. Try all that as you shouldn't have any problems. Good luck
