kept task manager open for a few hours to track CPU usage. CPU usage is never above 15% but still the fans are running at full speed after every minute or so, and especially as soon as I watch any youtube video. This is a brand new laptop just a few days old.

PS: i had a predator helios 300 before this for 6yrs and it never had this fan noise issue. The only time the fans would run at full speed would be during gaming which is acceptable.

The Aspire Vero 16 AV16-51P fans should not be spinning loudly and virtually all the time, except when the laptops temps rise like in and when doing editing work, in gaming or an update that has been done and is installing. This laptop has 2x fans and quite a good thermal module unit and its fans should not be spinning at high speeds all the time.

Make sure that you have the latest Win-11 version 24H2 and all the updates to OS build 26100.2454 installed, then install the last bios 1.07 and all the firmware that windows update might have for this laptop. As doing all this will ensure that the laptop perform to its best performance with the hardware that you have. If the fans still are spinning at high rpm then send the laptop to Acer Tech Support in your country and get Acer to fix this problem, as its not normal, it could be that your laptop has some thermal paste issues, sensor issues that trigger the fans prematurely or a mainboard issues. Good luck

If your Acer Aspire laptop's fan is running loudly or continuously even when you're not performing heavy tasks, here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially fix the issue:

    1. Check for Dust Buildup

Clean the Vents: Dust accumulation can block airflow, causing the fan to work harder. Use compressed air to blow out any dust from the vents.
Open the Laptop: If you're comfortable, open the laptop and clean the internal components, especially around the fan and heatsink.
    2. Monitor Temperature

Install Monitoring Software: Use software like HWMonitor or Core Temp to check CPU and GPU temperatures. If they're unusually high, it may indicate an issue with cooling.
Ambient Temperature: Ensure that the laptop is in a well-ventilated area and not on surfaces that can trap heat (like beds or couches).
    3. Update BIOS and Drivers

Update BIOS: Sometimes, updating the BIOS can resolve fan control issues. Check Acer’s support website for the latest version.
Update Drivers: Ensure that your chipset and graphics drivers are up to date, as they can affect performance and cooling.
    4. Adjust Power Settings

Windows Power Options: Go to Control Panel > Hardware and Sound > Power Options. Choose a power plan and modify advanced settings to reduce performance when idle.
Intel Graphics Settings: If applicable, use Intel Graphics Command Center to adjust performance settings.
    5. Check for Background Processes

Task Manager: Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc) and check for any processes that may be using high CPU or GPU resources. End any unnecessary tasks.
Startup Programs: Disable unnecessary programs from starting up with Windows to reduce load.
    6. Perform a System Scan

Malware Scan: Run a full system scan using your antivirus software to rule out malware that could be causing high resource usage.
    7. Reset or Reinstall Windows

If the issue persists, consider resetting Windows or performing a clean installation. Make sure to back up your data first.
    8. Check for Hardware Issues

If none of the above steps work, it could indicate a hardware issue with the fan or thermal paste. Consider consulting a professional technician for further diagnosis.
