I bought this laptop less than 1 year ago, since then i have an issue with the performance mode on this laptop. So, when i did play a game and turn on the performance mode the GPU usage will be fluctuating, from abt 90% drop to 1-20% repeat. It will happened every few sec and ofc that is not reliable at all, cause when i played game with balance mode, the GPU and CPU will not perform well. E.g: i played valorant in low settings only get 100 FPS avg with the GPU usage around 50%, let alone the AAA games. For this i did a lot of things like update GPU CPU driver and rollback, repair windows using windows update, and another various method like graphic setting, nvidia setting, etc. Some of these thing make it better, but didn't solve the problem. Lately its getting worse after install some windows update. What should i do with this problem?

I don't know what is the exact specs of your Aspire A715-76G laptop and which gpu model you have, but all gaming performance depends on many factors like firmware, bios, drivers game settings and ram and SSD M.2 performance which intergrade for best performance together, any one of these these factors if its not performing to its peak in combination with the other aspects of your laptop, will cause gaming performance drops and will affect your laptops performance

What you also have to realize with the Aspire laptops is that THEY ARE NOT A FULL ON GAMING LAPTOP and thermal cooling is noy=t designed for hard core gaming and high temps like a Nitro or a Predator Acer full on gaming laptops are, as Aspire laptops are designed for normal to mid range use and gaming. Yes I know that your A715-76G has a 12th Gen and a max spec NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3050 Ti gpu or the basic model has the NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1650, and it has a Gen 4 x4 M.2 SSD and 2 sockets and a max of 32GB at 2x 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL 22 type ram which is all specification for a great gaming laptop, but the main thing with these laptops is that when pushed to their limit, they overheat and that is what degrades their gaming performance and fps performance.

My suggestion to you is to install the latest Win-11 version 24H2 and update the OS to its last OS build 26100.2454 (this is as of December 2024 version OS build) and make sure that you have the last bios version 1.55 installed and all firmware if available in windows update, play and download all the NVidia Game Ready graphics drivers through the NVidia GeForce Experience software that has the ultimate settings for your NVidia gpu for over 1500 games on the market, upgrade the M.2 SSD to the Samsung 990 Pro NVMe drive that is the speediest Gen 4 x4 lane M.2 drive on the market, have at least 16GB preferably 32GB ram and also put this laptop onto a good multi fan laptop tablet cooler to inject more fresh air and improve crossflow ventilation to the underneath of the laptop vents. As doing all these things will make your Aspire A715-76G laptop perform at its best and to its ultimate performance. Good luck.
