Detachable docking keyboard: Switch10 SW5-012 and Iconia 10 V1002 are interchangeable?

Hi there,

Can someone in the community help me? I have Acer Switch10 SW5-012. Some keys on the keyboard are not responsive to the keystrokes. I am looking for a replacement. I found what I am looking in AliExpress.com. The seller is selling docking keyboards for both models. The price for Switch10 is double of Iconia's. Since both models have the same screen sizes: 10.1 inches. Can the keyboards of both models be used interchangeably?

Thank you,

The hinge style for the Icona keyboard is different and the internal might not compatible with the Switch 10.

There doesn't seem to be a V1002 model that I can find. S1002 maybe? That is a similar model to the SW5-012, but the keyboards are not interchangeable, according to the part numbers.

@AnhEZ28 Thank you for your answer. I do not have detailed knowledge about the components of the two model keyboards. I just think that both models have the same screen sizes, the keyboards may be interchangeable.

@billsey Thanks for your reply. I mistyped the model of Iconia. It is S1002. Someone has replied before you that the hinges of both models are not the same.

I have posted this comment twice before. It does not appear. Sorry if I have my posts several times.

No problem… The two models do use the same number of pins in that pogo connector that connects the keyboard, and the two magnets to hold it in place are near the same location. The only way to tell for sure though would be to actually try it, and any difference in that grove could make it so one keyboard would fit the other machine, but not visa versa. We don't have specs detailing the pinout, so there's no way we can tell for sure if the signals are even the same.
