Aspire C24 195 all in one desktop and the sound is really bad

Just bought an Aspire C24 195 all in one desktop and the sound is really bad….very tinny and no bass. I restarted to get the driver updates but still it sounds terrible. Surely this isn't normal. Can anybody help or have I got to go out and buy some speakers?

Be aware that the Acer C24-195 AIOs has the Realtek ALC897/ALC256 audio and two miserly tiny 2W speakers with HD Audio, so don't expect Hi-Fi quality sound! But if you get a decent quality headset like the Sennheiser Momentum 4 or their earbuds version or a BT or wired high-end external speakers then you will have Hi-Fi quality sound from this Aspire C24-195 AIO audio, so be aware of this.

But and as you know, your AIO doesn't come and/or are fitted with Hi-Fi quality speakers, Acer fits the most adequately sized speakers for the enclosure of your AIO space that they can and at a price, those tiny speakers that their cones are the size of an ant 🤣 can't and don't expect big bold bass and/or any high end sound except a tinny auditable sound, as that is about what you have.

I suggest that you install a sound enhancer like the FXSound which is free and has many sound presets and is what I use, and it works as a great sound booster and equalizer also. Otherwise, you can buy the already installed Win-11 dtxs and whatever higher options that this sound enhancer has.

These are the speakers fitted to the C24-195 AIO, have a look at them as they sure aint Hi-Fi quality, so there is nothing wrong with your oem sound as that is what you get🤣

That is the best solution Sissybarlam if you want to listen to Hi-Fi music on these computers, I'm using the Sennheiser Momentum 4 headphones that area a high end Hi-fi over the ear headphones and for general usage I'm using a pair of the Sennheiser MOMENTUM Sport earbuds that are a good compromise for on the go and sport usage with my laptop and phone, but as a lounge room speaker I'm using a pir of sort of Hi-Fi speakers which are the Audioengine A5+ Wireless 2.0 Active Bluetooth 5.0 that are adequate for my listening sound. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

Thanks for the info StevenGen I've downloaded the FXSound and it sounds slightly better but will get some earbuds. Very much appreciated.
